By accessing or using FinSquare, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using FinSquare on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

FinSquare is a financial technology platform that enables users to participate in community-based savings, contributions, and other group finance activities such as Esusu, dues, and pooled savings. FinSquare partners with licensed financial institutions to provide digital banking access.

FinSquare does not operate as a bank or deposit-taking financial institution. All financial services are provided in collaboration with duly licensed partners.

3.1 Registration

To use FinSquare, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You agree to update your information as necessary to maintain its accuracy.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access or use of your account.

3.3 Identity Verification

FinSquare may require identity verification (KYC) to enable certain features, comply with regulatory requirements, or protect against fraud.

FinSquare enables users to create, join, and participate in group finance activities. These may include:

• Esusu (rotational savings)
• Dues and levies
• Contributions and pooled savings
• Group buying arrangements

Users participating in communities are bound by the rules and schedules set by community administrators, as well as these Terms.

FinSquare provides users with digital wallets powered by licensed financial partners. Users can fund their wallets, make contributions, and receive payouts through supported payment methods.

All transactions are subject to applicable fees, limits, and processing times as disclosed in the app. FinSquare reserves the right to modify fees or limits with prior notice.

You agree not to:

• Use FinSquare for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
• Misrepresent your identity or provide false information
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
• Violate the rights of other users or third parties
• Use the platform to launder money or finance illegal activities

FinSquare reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities.

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property associated with FinSquare are owned by or licensed to FinSquare. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.

FinSquare provides the Services "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

FinSquare is not responsible for the conduct of community administrators or other users, or for any losses arising from participation in community finance activities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinSquare shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of funds, data, or goodwill.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FinSquare, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

FinSquare may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through arbitration or the appropriate courts in Lagos, Nigeria.

FinSquare may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect.
